All our courses and training involve keeping people safe and healthy in their activities. As we are dealing with people’s safety our training is regulated by government and also the training bodies. For this reason, all candidates have to achieve specified levels of competency.
This is where assessments come in. Depending on the course, there will be practical, written and aural assessments, to meet regulations and to ensure that you have absorbed the content of your chosen course.
The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is a vocational and performance critical qualification. On completion of the course, we will typically bring in an outside neutral assessor to independantly ensure that our candidates are competant to carry out the role of a lifeguard.
The assessments take place at the end of the course and the cost of this assessment is included in the price of our NPLQ course.
As Trainer / Assessors we also provide our services to assess other trainers courses.
Our First Aid at Work course lasts 3 days. It an intensive, hands-on and fully-involved course. Assessment for this course is ongoing and is performed by our staff.
The necessary progress and understanding of the course content, is monitored and recorded by activities throughout the course. The cost of these assesssments are included in your course fees.
Our standalone AED course is a short course aimed at existing First Aiders and other competant candidates. We can also include AED training on our combined and integrated courses.
This course involves applying First Aid principles , to enable safe and effective use of this vital portable First Aid tool.
Assessment is ongoing and is performed by the trainer, throughout the day.
We have presented a number of integrated courses. For example an NPLQ course with First Aid and AED. The differing elements of this course require differing assessment methods. First Aid and AED are continually assessed as the course progresses. We usually get in an external examiner for the NPLQ element to finalise the qualifications.
We are able to present these courses and get them assessed to your own requirements. We can present formal 1 day, 3 day, 5 day or other standard formats for the course, but if these do not fit in with your requirements, contact us and we can tailor some training and/or assessing for you.
The NRASTC award is designed for people assisting with water programmes. It is suitable for teachers working in a wide range of swimming pools, including pools where the water is deeper than the teacher’s standing depth.
Our Trainer Assessors can enable you and / or your staff to achieve this award using a variety of flexible training sessions. As this course is not as intensive as the NPLQ course, we are able to train and assess you and your staff with a time effective solution for you.
